Back due to popular demand

Hehe... They love me, they really really love me...
Anyway, I got lotsa things to blog about, actually, just that I'm lazy... I got a ton of stuff to talk about Bangkok...
First things first, I am going to Genting on Friday, April 9th with my parents. There I'll be meeting some uni frens who will have just finished their engineering course in MMU... Hurray for them~! Then Saturday, I'd be heading down to Malacca... My sis has exams on that day, or the two plans would have been reversed, and I'd have a longer time in Genting :(... Maybe win or lose more money ? After that, on Sunday, my whole family (dad, mom, sis) will be following me back to Penang for a stay of two nights. They will be leaving for Kuching on the 13th. How I wish I could follow....
If I hadn't plan this trip so early in advance, I might have got a chance to go on a business trip to Shanghai & Beijing~! Just might... Anyway, I'd have to travel down to Taiping for a business trip on Monday April 5th... I like travelling, but don't really like the driving. I like to sleep.
Now, I gotta rush to complete my mini-project before I can head off for my holiday...
Bangkok Observations
Posted by vampire at 10:19 AM on April 1, 2004.
1) The toilets in Bangkok (even the public toilets) are clean. Public toilets are free... No entrance fee... This is a great thing... In M'sia, you fork out money to use a dirty toilet. But it is not as bad as China, as I heard from colleagues.
2) In Thai Airlines, the row numbers for economy seats start from 31. I was shocked when my row number was forty-something. It was only an Airbus A303.
3) They serve pasta on Thai Airlines. They serve red/white wine, too. The way they serve food is kinda messy, but they have quite a lot of things, like juice, coffee/tea, fruits, bread/buns, etc... They run up and down the aisle. You'd have to stop them if you want the food/drink.
4) There are taxi motorbikes in Bangkok. And it is not illegal to carry more than 2 people. Lotsa these taxis. They're cheap for local people there. Ladies ride on this motorbikes, sitting umm... how to explain... sideways... u know... like those China old dramas, the ladies sit on bicycles behind their lovers? Hehe...
5) If you own a Toyota Altis or Corolla, you'd be a little ashamed here. Since Proton is not their national car there, wow... taxis are using Altis! Song leh... Sitting taxis here is fun... Haha... All of them uses the meter... Some of them might trick you, though, by negotiating a price, and not using the meter. Taxis, as I observed, make up about one-third of the cars on the road.
to be continued....

ADMINISTRATOR
(Submissive Extrovert Concrete Thinker )
Like just 4% of the population you are an ADMINISTRATOR (SECT)--detail-oriented and organized. You're an extrovert, but you lack the over-aggressive tendencies of obnoxious "go-getters." Very nice. However, you probably like getting up in other people's business--living through them a little... dude, sometimes you just gotta let it ride. Don't be such a busy-body.
Anyway , you're an excellent manager, of both yourself and other people. That's because you prefer thinking concretely rather than creatively, and you'd rather follow what your mind tells you than your heart--people respect this, but it can make them mad when their appeals to love and kindness fall on deaf, deaf ears. Try to have a heart sometimes.

Holiday
Posted by vampire at 12:30 PM on April 12, 2004.
I took a day off from work on Friday. Woke up early at 7.30am, took breakfast at Sunshine Square, and set off for Ipoh.
Arrived at Ipoh around 10.30am, and had dim sum brunch at Foh San. Then went to visit Kek Lok Tong Cave, and bought pomelos from the now-famous pomelo row of shops, with nicely-dressed young girls...
Then, we set off for Genting. The stupid road signs lead us to ulu roads... After getting off the highway, there are no more Genting signs... We had to ask around for directions 6 times... Passed all the small towns like Sg. Choh, Batang Kali, etc. This is supposed to be a shorter road, but I think it's easier to go south to KL then go to Genting using the usual route.
So, managed to check in Theme Park Hotel at 4pm, and I had lunch with Wei Yap at Sushi King. It was very satisfying, and filling, after feeling so hungry driving on a road without road signs.
After that, I met up with
jaycylenne, batu2pahat, innchin, mrmiaow, and KC at Starbucks. By then I was sleepy. Went back room and took a few hours of nap. Woke up feeling very energized... Hehe... My holiday had begun... Muahaha
So, after dinner at the casino, I started playing... Won about Rm20 before heading off to meet two of my RO guildmates, Teng & Acen. Hehe... Guild meeting off RO server.
Teng is even more hebat than me, in the sense that she was working and she sleeps very late. On Saturday, she had to work, but was in the casino with Acen till Friday 5.30am. Don't know if she went to work or call in sick... Hehe...
After a supper at Starbucks, I managed to win about Rm130. For about 4 hours, there isn't any gain. It remained at Rm130.
On Saturday, I slept at around 6am after late supper/breakfast, and woke up at 10.30am for breakfast. I lost Rm100 the next day. The dealer for Casino War was so lucky. She had Ace 5 out of 10 times. I could have won Rm200, but I blew it all because of those Aces. Feeling sucky, I left the casino, but I still earned a little... Had lunch at Burger King, before leaving for Melaka at 4pm. Managed to meet Cla up for a while.
The drive to Malacca was terrible. The rain was so heavy, and there were traffic jams, and stupid KL road signs leading us off track. I was sleepy, and I thought it could have been better off using buses, but looking at the way the bus-drivers manouvre(?) their buses, you don't know where you'll end up - in Mlk, or ("???").
Only managed to reach Mlk at 7.30pm. Checked into Emperor Hotel, and went for Nyonya dinner at Ole Sayang... Tastes nice~! Hungry now... Lunch time in my company... Continue later/next time...

RO Scam
Posted by vampire at 11:56 AM on April 22, 2004.
For the first time in 6 months of playing RO, I got scammed. Yeah, it was a cheap trick and it's my fault, but I learnt my lesson. It costed 560k zeny.
What he did was showed me a Healing Belt, then cancel deal. Then, he trade me once again, but with a normal belt. I clicked traded, and my money was gone.
His name is TERRY.OCW
Watch out for him.
MMU Convo
Posted by vampire at 12:04 PM on April 22, 2004.
MMU Convo is announced on the MMU's Bulletin Board, and is gonna be held in Malacca, on July 24-25. Well, I won't be surprised if MMU screws this up.
The letters have been sent out, and we're supposed to do registration/get our robes, etc on July 23rd, Friday morning. Meaning that we have to reach Malacca before Friday... Leaves are hard to come by nowadays...
The plan so far is to drive or follow KKLau's car down to Malacca on Thursday night. Friday is the registration/rehearsal, meet up frens, exchange contacts/updates, etc.
Saturday hang out a while for Cyber's convo... Sunday morning is my convo... Hope it's not like last year's...
Have booked 3 nights in Grand Continental Hotel in Malacca, starting Friday night.
