YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I just got back from watching Liverpool vs Olympiakos.
This is the last match for the 1st Group Stages for Champions League, whereby Liverpool has to win Olympiakos by 1-0, or by two goals to qualify for the next stage.
When Rivaldo scored from a free kick in the first half, I thought "Sh*t! Now, Liverpool are not gonna make it!" Since the 1-0 scoreline is now impossible, Liverpool HAVE TO beat Olympiakos by two goal. This means that Liverpool HAVE TO score THREE (3) goals.
For Liverpool, scoring 3 goals is really something you don't see often. Especially when they are 1-0 down. I almost left Dinas Nasi Kandar near my house. But I stayed on.
Half time over. Second half starts. Sinama-Pongolle replaces Traore. Good! I don't like Traore. Pongolle made an immediate impact, by scoring within two minutes of playing. 1-1. 2 more to go.
Later a goal was disallowed because there was a minor foul a second earlier by Baros. Dang! Oh yeah, in the first half, the ball crossed Olympiakos' goal line, but the referee didn't award Liverpool the goal. Dang twice~!
Around 75th minute, Mellor came in. He's the one that scored the last minute winning goal against Arsenal. Within a minute or so after he came in, he scored!! YES!!!! Now Liverpool have a chance.
Around 86th minute, GERRARD, the very deserved man-of-the-match got a SUPERB goal from outside the penalty box. 3-1!!! LIVERPOOL MADE IT!!! Deafening cheers from all around the stadium. How I wish I could be there to be with them!
It was a 3:45am match. Now it's 6am. I'm taking a half-day leave today. Very much worth it! My heart is still pounding.
