Nails

Yesterday, when driving over to pick a friend up, at the junction in front of his apartment, I saw a bunch of kids sweeping the road. On a closer look, I found out that they were sweeping 2-inch nails on the road, and there's a box on the road as well. Seems that the box had opened up from the bottom when the kid was carrying it while cycling.
Anyway, I think about two cars stupidly drove over the nails. Donno if their tyres have been punctured.
Then, last night, I dreamt about my car tyres punctured by nails, lots of them. Forgotten abt the rest of the dream.
Home Theater System

On Wednesday, I ordered a Philips home theater system from SEC in Sg Dua, Penang. They said they'd deliver it to me on Friday.
Well, they did not. On Saturday, still no call from them, so I had to go to the outlet in Sg Dua in the afternoon to check. Found out they had forgotten about it, and slotted in a 7pm delivery.
But before 7pm, a guy called to tell me that he can't make it before 8pm, and I had to go watch the FA Cup match between Liverpool and Man Utd (which Liverpool won 1-0) at 8+pm. So, I had to collect it from the shop at Sg Dua myself.
The reason I want it delivered is because the guy would carry the whole set up to my apartment. And this week, my car is parked a bit far from my apartment. Me & housemates use carpark weekly rotation system.
After the match, I had to carry the bulky box from the multi-storey carpark back to my apartment. As I set the system up, I found out that the system is a display unit or had been used quite often before. Even the batteries that come for the remote control is drained out.
Now, I'm waiting for the Customer Service person to get back to me. After work, I'd have to return to the shop and find the salesman who gave me that display unit.
Update: He made a call and found out it is indeed a display unit, and offered two options - check if there is a new unit/model from Philips, or accept the current unit with a Rm100 discount. I chose to wait for a new unit/model.

My home theater system costed Rm1,299. If I bought at that amount, I can use the 0% interest free payment with my credit card.
But, if I paid one lump sum, the system costs Rm1,199.
And I have a SEC voucher worth Rm100, which I can use for purchases of minimum Rm1000.
So if I paid one lump sum, and using that voucher, the system costs me Rm1,099.
Then one or two days after I made my purchase, Courts Mammoth came out with a promotion for a model of home theater system, almost similar with mine. Same brand, same DVD player, same center speaker, same sub-woofer, same RMS power, but the satelite speakers are longer and bigger, and each comes with a stand.
Well, I prefer this Courts Mammoth model. And it costs only Rm1019!! Comes with a free Motorola handphone too...
Sux, man. I paid more and I got a display unit.
